**Position:** Sysadmin Engineer
**Job Shift:** Night
**Experience:** 2 to 5 years
**Education:** We hire based on individual talent, skill and work ethic. Formal degrees are not a material in our hiring decision.
**Job Location:** Mumbai
**Salary Range:** ₹ 4,50,000 – ₹ 6,00,000 p.a

*Key Responsibilities:**
Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot Linux servers (Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS).
Deploy, configure, and optimize Apache Tomcat, including application deployment, JVM tuning, and log analysis.
Perform server hardening, patching, configuration management, and troubleshooting.
Manage SSL/TLS certificates for secure HTTPS communication on web servers and load balancers.
Provision and manage AWS resources, including EC2, S3, CloudFront, Lambda, IAM, Route 53, and basic VPC configurations.
Configure Nginx/Apache as reverse proxies for backend applications.
Configure and troubleshoot SFTP and Squid proxy services.
Support Docker\-based environments, including container deployment and troubleshooting.
Write Bash/Python scripts to automate administration, backups, monitoring, and certificate renewals.
Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and respond to alerts to ensure high availability.
Troubleshoot networking and application issues involving SSH, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, firewalls, proxies, and SSL/TLS.
Support Java\-based application deployments across development, staging, and production environments.

*SKILLS/EXPERTISE:**
2\+ years of experience in Linux System Administration, server configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Hands\-on experience with Apache Tomcat and Java servlet container configuration and troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS, web traffic flow, and SSL/TLS handshake mechanisms.
Experience managing and troubleshooting SSL certificates using Let’s Encrypt, AWS Certificate Manager, and DigiCert.
1–2 years of AWS experience with EC2, S3, CloudFront, Lambda, Route 53, IAM, and basic VPC concepts.
Working knowledge of SFTP and Squid Proxy configuration and troubleshooting.
Basic experience with Docker container deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Skilled in Linux server hardening, security patching, system updates, and application\-server configuration.
Strong networking knowledge: SSH, TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, proxy servers, and ports.
Familiarity with Git and basic configuration management concepts.
Proficient in Bash scripting; basic Python knowledge is an advantage.
Strong troubleshooting, problem\-solving, and communication skills across Linux, application servers, networking, and AWS.
