PostgreSQL Database Administrator / Database Engineer

We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrator with approximately 7 years of hands\-on experience in administering, optimizing, and supporting mission\-critical PostgreSQL databases. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS\-managed database services such as Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL, along with experience in performance tuning, high availability, backup and recovery, security, and database automation.

Education \- B.E/B.Tech from any reputed college

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain PostgreSQL databases.

• Manage RDS PostgreSQL and Aurora PostgreSQL environments.

• Perform database migrations, upgrades, backup and recovery activities.

• Monitor database performance and implement tuning recommendations.

• Configure replication, high availability, failover, and disaster recovery solutions.

• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams.

• Automate routine DBA tasks using scripting and tools.

Experience : 7\+ years of PostgreSQL DBA experience.

Expertise in query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and performance tuning.

• Hands\-on experience with AWS RDS PostgreSQL and Aurora PostgreSQL.

• Experience with CloudWatch, IAM, KMS, AWS Backup, and Secrets Manager.

• Linux/Unix administration skills.

• Shell scripting and Python experience.

Experience with large\-scale production databases.

• Exposure to Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Knowledge of Prometheus, Alert manager and Grafana

• Understanding of CloudWatch Database Insights

• Strong troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

• Ability to work independently in production environments.
