As a Team Lead you will focus on capabilities development of your team members that align with the function’s vision and will encourage your team to self\-define their career journey and seek ways to enable development opportunities in the direction of the journey. You will support them in removing roadblocks and by setting focus on their performance management and make sure to develop your team with the right skills, healthy dynamics and a sustainable pace. You support the software and/or service delivery as a leader setting focus, removing impediments, managing stakeholders and creating efficiencies in collaboration wherever possible.

Description of the area

Engineering Excellence\& Experience enables engineers at Roche to explore, plan, design, code, build, test and deploy software packages in a reliable, secure, automated and consistent manner across the different business areas, including facilitated access to automated, composable, infrastructure consumable through Infra as Code\& API on premise and in the public cloud.

The Developer Experience team is the primary catalyst for transforming Engineering Excellence\& Experience into a data\-driven organization. By providing a centralized source of truth for performance metrics, consumption patterns, and actionable intelligence, the team empowers leaders with the visibility required to facilitate strategic decision\-making and optimize the delivery of value.

The team will deliver a sophisticated analytical framework designed to meet diverse technical needs and resource levels, utilizing a Self\-Service, automated, and highly accessible data architecture. Under your leadership, the team will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to provide a programmatic and visual approach to data—ensuring that insights are available via the Internal Developer Portal’s intuitive dashboards and API\-enabled patterns for those who prefer to integrate data directly into their own workflows.

• *The Opportunity:**

• Lead a multidisciplinary team, proactively identifying and developing future\-focused engineering team capabilities, aligning with long\-term strategic goals.
• Lead Product and Service Delivery, being accountable for the successful delivery of features and overall product performance, this role involves establishing the mid\-term vision and strategy. It also includes holding teams accountable for achieving their results.
• Performance\& Optimization, defining and analyzing success metrics, identifying cross\-team technical and delivery optimization opportunities and trends.
• Financial\& Resource Management, managing the team's budget, including headcount, operational costs, and vendor contracts, ensuring financial responsibility.
• Incorporate Artificial Intelligence solutions in data analysis.

• *Who you are:**

• You possess 10\+ years of experience in people leadership, product/service management, or program management, with a track record of building high\-performing teams.
• You have 2\+ years of experience specifically within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated healthcare technology industry.
• You hold a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a Business or IT specification.
• You exhibit proven leadership in building and managing high performing teams
• You are a strong advocate for a "Developer First" approach, focusing on reducing friction while providing actionable testing insights.
• You display "VACC" leadership behaviors (Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach) and have a keen IT market focus regarding major industry trends.
