Job description
We are seeking a talented and motivated Technical Project Manager who generally oversees the development, implementation and maintenance of technological company systems and processes, including troubleshooting any potential issues. You are responsible for making key decisions that relate to continuous improvement within all areas of technical operations and managing the teams that are developing materials. A Technical Project Manager wears a lot of hats as their role is regulatory, operational, and commercial.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, scope, and schedules.
- Interact with the stakeholders to define and finalize the project objectives.
- Lead sprint planning, task allocation, stand\-ups, and project reviews.
- Ensure projects adopt modern technologies and evaluate upgrades where appropriate.
- Update stakeholders via regular reports.
- Establish and train teams, when necessary, on technical processes and strategies.
- Oversee day\-to\-day technical operations, including personnel assignments and reviews.
- Establish and implement training methods for technical personnel.
- Strong understanding of modern web architectures (MERN, MEAN), backend technologies, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), APIs, databases, DevOps and software engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with software developers and technology professionals to ensure effective project execution.
- Coordinates internal and external resources scheduled, ensures projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets.
- Forecasts potential schedule delays and develops alternate plans.
- Manage software support and maintenance.
- Create estimates for customers for custom software (web and mobile)
- Conduct technical interviews and screening of all technical and SDE candidates.

Clients
As a Technical Project Manager, you must inform the clients about the project's progress. You need to ensure their needs are met. It is important to communicate any changes or delays that may occur. You must maintain strong relationships with clients to build long\-term associations and loyalty.
Team Members
Managing team members is the most important part of the job. Conduct periodic meetings, set clear expectations and deadlines, provide guidance, build morale, support them whenever needed, and ensure everyone works together effectively. Communication and collaboration are two important elements that keep the team together. Ensure you are effectively handling all conflicts that arise. Communicate regularly with management to inform them about the project's progress.
Defining solution architecture
Solution architects design and document the overall architecture of technology solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and requirements.
Gathering requirements
Collaborate with stakeholders, such as business analysts, project managers, and end\-users, to understand their needs and gather requirements for the technology solution.
Skills required
Project Management Experience
Sufficient project management experience gives you an in\-depth understanding of various project management techniques, strategies, and processes. Excellent time management, strong analytical thinking, and problem\-solving abilities are essential. You should also be able to anticipate challenges and roadblocks that may threaten to derail the project.
Technical Knowledge
Since the role of a technical project manager is multifaceted and requires a diverse range of interdisciplinary skills, you should have relevant expertise in the related technological fields, which will enable you to understand the intricacies of the project, communicate complex technical jargon to your colleagues, and lead a successful project.
