Test Architect / QA Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail\-oriented Test Architect to define and lead the overall quality engineering and test automation strategy across enterprise applications and platforms. The ideal candidate will design scalable testing frameworks, establish QA best practices, and ensure high\-quality software delivery through automation, performance, security, and continuous testing approaches.

The role requires strong expertise in test architecture, automation frameworks, CI/CD integration, and modern quality engineering practices across web, mobile, APIs, cloud, and enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy \& Architecture

. Define and implement enterprise\-wide QA and testing strategies.

. Design scalable and reusable test automation frameworks.

. Establish standards, guidelines, and best practices for quality engineering.

. Drive shift\-left testing and continuous testing initiatives.

. Define test environments, test data management, and quality governance processes.

Automation \& Quality Engineering

. Lead automation initiatives for UI, API, mobile, and backend testing.

. Build and optimize automated regression, integration, and end\-to\-end test suites.

. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

. Evaluate and recommend testing tools, frameworks, and technologies.

. Improve test coverage, execution speed, and defect detection efficiency.

Performance, Security \& Reliability

. Define performance testing and reliability engineering strategies.

. Support load, stress, scalability, and endurance testing initiatives.

. Collaborate with security teams to implement security testing practices.

. Ensure applications meet performance, reliability, and compliance standards.

Collaboration \& Leadership

. Work closely with developers, DevOps, business analysts, and product teams.

. Mentor QA engineers and automation teams.

. Conduct test reviews, quality audits, and root cause analysis.

. Provide estimations, risk assessments, and release quality metrics.

. Participate in architecture discussions and release planning.

Required Skills \& Qualifications

Technical Skills

. Strong experience in software testing and quality engineering.

. Expertise in automation frameworks such as: Selenium Playwright Cypress Appium

. Experience with API testing tools: Postman Rest Assured Karate

. Strong understanding of: Test automation architecture CI/CD pipelines Agile \& DevOps practices SDLC/STLC methodologies

. Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.

. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Programming Skills

. Hands\-on coding experience in: Java Python JavaScript/TypeScript C\#

. Experience with scripting and automation utilities.

Soft Skills

. Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

. Excellent analytical and problem\-solving skills.

. Strong communication and stakeholder management.

. Ability to work across cross\-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

. Certifications in testing or cloud technologies.

. Experience in enterprise\-scale digital transformation programs.

. Exposure to AI\-driven testing tools and intelligent automation.

Experience Requirements

. 8\+ years in software testing / QA engineering.

. 3\+ years in test architecture or QA leadership roles.

. Experience managing enterprise\-scale automation initiatives.
