### **Role description**

An Automation Tester is responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure software quality. The role focuses on improving testing efficiency, reducing manual efforts, and enabling faster releases.

• *Key Responsibilities**
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using frameworks and tools
• Execute automated test cases and analyze results
• Identify, document, and track bugs using defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand requirements and create test strategies
• Perform regression, functional, integration, and performance testing
• Enhance and maintain test automation frameworks
• Validate APIs using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies
• Ensure test coverage and maintain test documentation
• Continuously improve QA processes and automation practices
