Tester III - Software Testing

• **Summary:***

• UST is looking for a skilled Databricks Test Engineer with strong experience in testing data engineering solutions, validating large\-scale data pipelines, and ensuring data quality across Databricks, Spark, and cloud ecosystems.*

• **The Opportunity:***

• Perform comprehensive testing of Databricks\-based data pipelines, workflows, jobs, and data transformations. · Validate data\-processing solutions developed using Apache Spark/PySpark. · Perform source\-to\-target validation, data reconciliation, data\-quality checks, and transformation testing. · Write complex SQL queries to validate data accuracy, completeness, and business rules. · Develop Python/PySpark\-based test automation and data\-validation scripts. · Perform functional, integration, regression, end\-to\-end, and ETL testing. · Perform Databricks Genie testing, including validation of generated queries and outputs against expected business/data results. · Identify data discrepancies and perform root\-cause analysis. · Validate job failures, exception handling, reprocessing scenarios, and pipeline dependencies. · Participate in DevOps and CI/CD processes, including automated testing as part of deployment pipelines. · Track defects and work closely with developers and data engineers through resolution. · Support release validation and production testing activities.*

• **What you need:***

• Strong hands\-on experience in ETL/Data Pipeline Testing, data validation, and reconciliation. · Strong analytical, debugging, and problem\-solving skills to identify root causes of data discrepancies. · Good understanding of DevOps / CI/CD processes. · Strong collaboration skills to work with developers, data engineers, and stakeholders through issue resolution.*

• **Required Skills:***

• Databricks (strong hands\-on experience) · Apache Spark / PySpark · Python programming · Advanced SQL for data validation and reconciliation · ETL and data pipeline testing methodologies*

• **Desired Skills:***

• Databricks Genie Testing \& validation of generated queries · Python/PySpark\-based test automation scripts · Azure DevOps \& Git / version control · Delta Lake / Delta Tables · Cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) · Data Warehouse and data\-modeling concepts · Automated testing frameworks*

• **Qualification:***

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).*
