Job Summary

We are looking for hands\-on, senior\-level Infrastructure Automation \& Migration

Engineers to execute strategic migrations from VMware to Nutanix AHV and Azure Local

(formerly Azure Stack HCI).

This is not a high\-level advisory or pure consulting role. We require deeply technical "doers"

who will actively build out infrastructure, write production\-grade code, and physically

execute migrations. The successful candidates must be cross\-skilled—capable of working

across both Nutanix and Azure Local ecosystems—with an absolute mandate to build

robust, scalable Infrastructure\-as\-Code (IaC) automation frameworks so we aren't doing

anything manually.

The Tower Lead in Tools \& Automation is pivotal in driving operational excellence and ensuring the successful execution of organizational initiatives. This role focuses on leveraging advanced technical skills in Terraform and PowerShell to address escalations, enhance service delivery, and improve customer satisfaction, all while aligning with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1\. Generate Tower Level Ee \& En Revenue By Developing And Implementing Automation Solutions Using Terraform And Powershell, Ensuring Efficiency And Cost\-Effectiveness.

2\. Ensure Timely Resolution Of Escalations And Crises By Applying Terraform For Infrastructure Automation And Powershell For System Management, Adhering To Agreed Sla Norms.

3\. Oversee Operational Hygiene By Validating Reports Generated Through Automation Scripts And Ensuring Compliance With Service Delivery As Outlined In The Sow.

4\. Foster Positive Customer Satisfaction By Developing And Deploying Innovative Frameworks And Automation Tools Using Python And Jenkins To Enhance Service Quality.

5\. Implement The Profit Improvement Plan (Pip) By Leveraging Automation Through Terraform And Powershell To Optimize Processes And Drive Self\-Initiated Improvements.

1\. Hands\-On Migration \& Cluster Deployment

• Actively deploy, configure, and validate production\-ready clusters for Nutanix AHV /

NC2 and Azure Local (including running the latest OS builds and cloud\-managed

hybrid appliances).

• Physically execute end\-to\-end workload migrations for thousands of virtual

machines using tools like Nutanix Move and Azure Migrate, ensuring minimal

downtime and strict data security.

• Perform hard core capacity planning, resource sizing calculations, and environment

performance tuning for large\-scale enterprise workloads (such as heavy Windows

VDI environments).

2\. Infrastructure Automation \& Pipeline Engineering

• Write, test, and maintain production\-grade Terraform modules to fully automate

the lifecycle of hypervisor layers, storage provisioning, and logical networks.

• Author advanced, robust PowerShell and Python scripts to automate pre\-migration

discovery, Active Directory/RBAC auditing, and post\-migration validation checks.

• Build and embed automated boundaries ("Provider" vs. "Consumer" frameworks)

into our code to hand off clean, automated infrastructure to our internal DevOps

and Platform teams.

• Ensure a strict "automation\-first" delivery model—moving the environment away

from manual UI click\-ops.

3\. Technical Operations \& Collaboration

• Diagnose and solve complex technical blockers across storage, identity (SCIM/IAM),

and software\-defined networking (SDN).

• Work closely with global, distributed engineering teams (spanning APAC, India, and

EMEA) to ensure seamless operational cutovers.

Skill Requirements

1\. Proficiency In Terraform For Infrastructure As Code And Automation.

2\. Strong Knowledge Of Powershell For System Administration And Task Automation.

3\. Experience With Python For Scripting And Automation Tasks.

4\. Familiarity With Jenkins For Continuous Integration And Delivery Processes.

5\. Solid Understanding Of Automation Frameworks And Operational Efficiency Strategies.

Other Requirements

1\. Relevant Certifications In Terraform, Powershell, Or Devops Practices Are Optional But Valuable

• *Must\-Have (Hands\-On Experience Required):**

• Cross\-Platform Virtualization: Strong technical roots in legacy VMware

environments, with proven, verifiable hands\-on experience deploying and operating

both Nutanix AHV and Azure Local.

• Hardcore Automation: Excellent proficiency with Terraform (writing reusable,

nested modules from scratch) and PowerShell (building automation scripts for

enterprise infrastructure validation and auditing).

• Workload Mobility: Direct experience using migration appliances/agents to move

large\-scale, multi\-tenant VM estates under tight schedules.

• Core Networking \& Identity: Deep understanding of logical switches, VLAN/VXLAN

tagging, Active Directory integration, and setting up granular RBAC.
