Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cohesity CloudScale Implementation Engineer to design, deploy, configure, and support Cohesity data management, backup, recovery, and cloud integration solutions across hybrid and multi\-cloud environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in Cohesity DataPlatform, CloudScale architecture, and DataProtect, along with a strong background in cloud\-based deployments, data protection strategy, disaster recovery planning, and backup modernization initiatives. This role requires close collaboration with infrastructure, security, and cloud teams to deliver resilient, scalable, and secure data management solutions for the organization.

Technical Skills\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Strong knowledge of Cohesity architecture, clustering, SmartFiles, and Helios management console.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Hands\-on experience with backup technologies for VMware, Hyper\-V, physical servers, databases (SQL, Oracle), and NAS platforms.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Solid understanding of cloud services (compute, storage, networking, IAM) across at least one major cloud provider.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Familiarity with cloud archival tiers (e.g., AWS S3/Glacier, Azure Blob/Archive, GCP Cloud Storage).\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Working knowledge of networking concepts (VLANs, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs) as they relate to backup infrastructure.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Scripting/automation experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash, or REST API) is a plus.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Understanding of ransomware protection, data immutability, and cyber resilience concepts.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\nCertifications (Preferred)\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Cohesity Certified Implementation Engineer (CCIE) or equivalent Cohesity certification.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator/Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or similar virtualization certification is a plus.\\\\\\\\r\\\\\\\\n

1\. Cohesity Architecture \& Implementation • Design and implement Cohesity DataPlatform, CloudScale, and DataProtect solutions aligned with business and technical requirements. • Deploy and configure Cohesity clusters across on\-premises, hybrid\-cloud, and cloud\-native environments. • Perform cluster sizing, capacity planning, and scalability assessments to support current and future data growth. • Define and document reference architectures, deployment standards, and best practices for Cohesity environments. • Conduct proof\-of\-concept (POC) and pilot implementations to validate design decisions before production rollout

Cloud Deployment \& Integration • Deploy and manage Cohesity solutions on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Cohesity Cloud Services. • Configure cloud archival targets, tiering policies, and long\-term data retention strategies. • Implement cloud\-based disaster recovery (DR) and failover strategies, including automated recovery orchestration. • Integrate Cohesity with cloud\-native storage, compute, and networking services to optimize cost and performance. • Manage cloud connectivity, security groups, IAM roles, and network configurations required for Cohesity cloud operations. 3\. Data Protection \& Backup Modernization • Design and implement backup and recovery strategies for physical, virtual, and cloud workloads (VMware, Hyper\-V, physical servers, databases, NAS, applications). • Lead backup modernization initiatives, migrating legacy backup solutions to Cohesity\\'s unified data platform. • Configure and manage backup policies, SLAs, retention schedules, and data protection groups. • Implement data immutability, WORM policies, and ransomware protection features (e.g., DataLock, anomaly detection). • Perform regular backup validation, test restores, and disaster recovery drills to ensure recoverability. 4\. Monitoring, Support \& Troubleshooting • Provide day\-to\-day operational support for Cohesity clusters, including monitoring, patching, and upgrades. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to backup failures, replication, cluster health, and performance bottlenecks. • Serve as an escalation point for complex incidents, working with Cohesity support and internal teams to drive resolution. • Maintain system health dashboards, generate reports, and proactively identify risks or capacity constraints. 5\. Security \& Compliance • Implement role\-based access control (RBAC), encryption (at\-rest and in\-transit), and multi\-factor authentication for Cohesity environments. • Ensure data protection practices align with organizational security policies and regulatory/compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2\). • Support audit and compliance reporting related to data backup, retention, and recovery. 6\. Documentation \& Collaboration • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). • Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams to align data protection strategies with broader IT initiatives. • Provide knowledge transfer and training to internal teams and junior engineers on Cohesity best practices. • Participate in change management processes and maintain configuration/version control for Cohesity environments.

Other Requirements

4\+ years of experience in data protection, backup/recovery, or storage infrastructure roles. • 2\+ years of hands\-on experience with Cohesity DataPlatform, CloudScale, or DataProtect implementations. • Proven experience deploying and managing solutions across hybrid and multi\-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). • Experience with disaster recovery planning, execution, and testing.
