US Pharmacy Operations Project Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced **Project Manager with strong knowledge of US pharmacy workflows, prescription management, medication terminology, and healthcare business analysis**. The ideal candidate should be capable of managing healthcare projects, gathering business requirements, documenting workflows, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage healthcare and pharmacy\-related projects from initiation to delivery.
• Understand and document **US pharmacy workflows**, including prescribing, verification, dispensing, refills, prescription transfers, and medication delivery.
• Gather business requirements and prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and functional documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, developers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Track project timelines, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and KPIs.
• Translate pharmacy business requirements into clear technical specifications.
• Facilitate project meetings, provide status updates, and resolve operational challenges.
• Ensure accurate documentation and effective communication across technical and non\-technical teams.

Required Pharmacy \& Medication Knowledge

• *1\. US Pharmacy Workflows**

• Prescription lifecycle: Prescribing → Verification → Dispensing → Refill / Transfer → Delivery.
• Understanding of prescription processing, pharmacy operations, and medication management.
• Familiarity with US pharmacy practices and terminology.

• *2\. Dosage Forms, Strengths \& Dosing Instructions**

• Knowledge of tablets, capsules, liquids, creams, injections, and other dosage forms.
• Understanding of medication strengths, dosage instructions, and administration routes.
• Familiarity with **Sig Codes, dosing frequency, prescription quantity, and days' supply calculations**.

• *3\. Medication Names \& Drug Classes**

• Understanding of brand\-name versus generic medications.
• Familiarity with common therapeutic drug classes.
• Awareness of Look\-Alike / Sound\-Alike (LASA) medications and medication safety considerations.

• *4\. Business Analysis \& Requirements Documentation**

• Experience gathering and analyzing business requirements.
• Proficiency in preparing BRDs, FRDs, SRS documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Ability to map business processes and identify workflow improvements.
• Strong analytical, problem\-solving, and documentation skills.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare, IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience managing healthcare, pharmacy, or healthcare IT projects.
• Strong understanding of US pharmacy workflows and prescription terminology.
• Experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Trello, or Microsoft Project.
• Excellent English communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment during US business hours.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Pharmacy Management Systems (PMS), Electronic Prescribing (e\-Prescribing), or healthcare platforms.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare data privacy requirements.
• Knowledge of healthcare integrations, prescription processing systems, and medication databases.
• PMP, CAPM, or other relevant project management certifications.
