Job Description

Digital Neighbour is looking for a **highly skilled and creative Video Editor** who specialises in producing professional, premium\-quality podcast videos, YouTube content, interviews, and short\-form social media videos.

We are looking for someone who understands modern podcast editing styles and can transform raw footage into engaging, polished, and visually appealing content.

The ideal candidate should have **previous experience working with international clients (USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, or other international markets)** and a strong portfolio demonstrating high\-quality editing.

This is not a basic video editing position. We need someone who understands storytelling, audience retention, professional audio\-video production, and advanced editing techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit professional podcast\-style videos, including interviews, discussions, and multi\-camera recordings.
• Produce high\-quality long\-form YouTube videos and short\-form content for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
• Create engaging edits using precise cuts, seamless transitions, dynamic zooms, and professional pacing.
• Synchronise multiple camera angles and audio tracks for podcast recordings.
• Remove unnecessary pauses, filler words, mistakes, background noise, and awkward silences while maintaining natural conversation flow.
• Add accurate, visually appealing captions and animated subtitles.
• Incorporate B\-roll, relevant screenshots, motion graphics, text overlays, sound effects, and supporting visuals.
• Apply professional colour correction, colour grading, audio enhancement, and sound balancing.
• Identify strong hooks and engaging moments from long\-form recordings to create short\-form clips.
• Maintain consistent branding, typography, editing styles, and visual quality across projects.
• Understand feedback from international clients and deliver revisions professionally.
• Manage multiple editing projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
• Export and optimise videos for different platforms, aspect ratios, and resolutions.

Required Skills \& Experience

• *Professional Experience**

• Minimum 2 years of professional video editing experience; 3\+ years preferred.
• **Proven experience editing videos for international clients is mandatory.**
• Demonstrable experience producing professional podcasts, video interviews, or creator\-style YouTube videos.
• Strong understanding of storytelling, editing rhythm, viewer retention, and content engagement.
• Experience editing both long\-form and short\-form video content.
• Ability to independently manage projects from raw footage to final delivery.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to interpret creative briefs and client feedback accurately.

• *Technical Skills**

• Multi\-camera editing and audio\-video synchronisation.
• Professional jump cuts, J\-cuts, L\-cuts, punch\-ins, and seamless transitions.
• Advanced subtitle generation, caption styling, and animation.
• Audio noise reduction, EQ, compression, voice enhancement, and loudness balancing.
• Colour correction, colour grading, and exposure matching.
• Motion graphics, kinetic typography, and visual storytelling.
• B\-roll selection, stock footage integration, and screen\-recording overlays.
• Video formats, codecs, frame rates, aspect ratios, and export settings.
• Experience delivering professional 1080p and 4K video content.
• Ability to maintain organised project files and efficient editing workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with international digital marketing agencies, podcast production companies, or YouTube creators.
• Experience working with clients from Australia, New Zealand, the USA, UK, or Canada.
• Experience editing business, marketing, educational, interview, and thought\-leadership podcasts.
• Understanding of YouTube audience retention and social media content performance.
• Familiarity with AI\-assisted video editing workflows.
• Experience creating short\-form clips from long\-form podcast recordings.

Salary \& Benefits
