About the Role

We are looking for a highly creative **Reels Video Editor with strong Motion Graphics skills** to create visually engaging, high\-retention short\-form content for multiple D2C brands.

The expected editing quality should match modern, high\-level Instagram Reels featuring dynamic typography, creative visual effects, motion tracking, seamless transitions, strong storytelling, and frame\-by\-frame attention to detail.

Motion graphics will primarily be used within **Reels, short\-form videos, and performance ad creatives**.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit high\-quality Instagram Reels, Meta Ads, and YouTube Shorts from raw footage.
• Transform scripts and basic footage into engaging, story\-driven videos.
• Create dynamic kinetic typography that follows the dialogue and visual action.
• Integrate text naturally into scenes using motion tracking, masking, layering, and perspective.
• Add animated icons, graphic elements, callouts, counters, line effects, and visual highlights.
• Use punch\-ins, speed ramps, match cuts, freeze frames, reframing, and creative transitions.
• Create custom motion treatments instead of depending entirely on templates.
• Edit product\-focused, UGC\-style, promotional, educational, and brand storytelling Reels.
• Add suitable music, sound effects, subtitles, and audio enhancements.
• Perform colour correction and ensure a polished final output.
• Understand the hook, emotion, and purpose of each Reel—not just assemble footage.
• Resize and optimize videos for 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9 formats.
• Manage multiple brand projects and complete revisions within deadlines.
• Stay updated with current Reels trends, editing styles, and audience\-retention techniques.

Required Skills

• Advanced proficiency in **Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects**.
• Strong knowledge of kinetic typography and text animation.
• Experience with motion tracking, masking, rotoscoping, keyframing, and compositing.
• Strong understanding of pacing, typography, visual hierarchy, and storytelling.
• Ability to synchronize cuts, text, motion, and effects with dialogue or music.
• Good sense of humour, emotion, and timing for social media content.
• Ability to improve ordinary raw footage through creative editing.
• Strong attention to detail and openness to feedback.
• Ability to maintain quality while working within deadlines.

Experience

• **2–4 years of professional experience** in Reels editing, video editing, or motion graphics.
• Previous experience with a creative agency, digital marketing agency, or D2C brand is preferred.
• Portfolio quality will be given more importance than years of experience.

Portfolio Requirement

Applicants must submit a portfolio or showreel containing at least **three high\-level Reels** demonstrating:

• Dynamic typography
• Creative motion graphics
• Motion tracking and visual effects
• Strong storytelling and pacing
• Product or brand\-focused editing

Basic talking\-head videos with standard captions alone will not be considered sufficient.
