Web Designing Trainer

We are seeking a creative and technically skilled **Faculty Member in Web Design** to join our design and computer application department in Kolkata

You will teach students the principles of visual design, user experience (UX/UI), and front\-end coding languages.

The ideal candidate will blend design aesthetics with technical code, transforming students into industry\-ready web designers.

• *Key Roles \& Responsibilities1\. Instruction \& Lab Facilitation**

• Conduct interactive lectures and hands\-on computer lab sessions covering design principles, layout structures, and typography.
• Guide students through coding logic, responsive design practices, and cross\-browser troubleshooting.
• Critique student portfolios constructively, helping them refine their visual execution and code cleanliness.

• *2\. Curriculum Development \& Tech Updates**

• Mentor students on portfolio building, freelance strategies, and preparing for junior designer interviews.
• Oversee student capstone projects, graduation showcases, and design hackathons.
• Serve on departmental committees, participate in institutional accreditation, and invigilate examinations.

• *Required Skills \& Competencies**

• **Design Tools**: Mastery of modern UI/UX prototyping tools, specifically Figma, Adobe XD, and Adobe Photoshop.
• **Front\-End Development**: Advanced knowledge of semantic HTML5, CSS3 (including Flexbox/Grid), CSS frameworks (Tailwind or Bootstrap), and foundational JavaScript.
• **Modern Standards**: Strong understanding of responsive web design (RWD), web accessibility principles (WCAG), and search engine optimization (SEO) basics.
• **Teaching Tools**: Proficiency with code editors (VS Code), version control (Git/GitHub), and hosting workflows (Netlify/Vercel).

• *Education \& Experience Requirements**

• **Education**: Master’s degree in Web Design, Fine Arts, User Experience, Computer Science, or an MCA/MBA in a related field. (A Ph.D. is highly preferred for tenure\-track positions).
• **Experience**: Minimum 3\+ years of teaching experience in higher education, supported by a professional portfolio of live websites.
• **Industry Experience**: Verifiable freelance, agency, or corporate web design experience is required to provide real\-world context.
