Accountant

We are looking for a **Accountant** to manage the core financial and operational bookkeeping of our steel trading and scrap metal procurement firm. In this role, you will be responsible for standard day\-to\-day accounts, vendor payments entries, ledger maintenance, and critical logistics/inventory reconciliation.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• **Daily Bookkeeping \& Ledger Maintenance:** Record all daily financial transactions, manage accounts payable and receivable, and ensure accurate data entry into our accounting system.
• **Logistics \& Material Reconciliation:** Reconcile supplier invoices with weighbridge slips, transport bills, and material grading data to ensure accurate billing for all incoming scrap lots.
• **Commercial Transactions \& Invoicing:** Generate purchase orders and sales invoices, track customer payments, and manage vendor accounts cleanly.
• **Banking \& Fund Operations:** Handle daily bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow, and coordinate fund transfers for auction deposits and vendor payments.
• **Data Management \& Reporting:** Maintain meticulous digital records of inventory, procurement lots, and sales. Use advanced Excel sheets to provide clean financial updates for management review.
• **Internal Coordination:** Work closely with the operations team and cooperate with our dedicated tax team/CA to provide accurate book data for compliance periods.

• *Required Skills \& Qualifications**

• **Experience:** 2–5 years of accounting experience, ideally within the **trading, manufacturing, steel/scrap, or logistics industries**.
• **Technical Skills:**
• Strong expertise in **Tally Prime** or a similar ERP accounting software.
• High proficiency in **MS Excel**
• **Soft Skills:** Exceptional attention to detail (crucial for weight and price reconciliation), strong analytical tracking, and the ability to work independently in a fast\-paced environment.

Pay: ₹13,000\.00 \- ₹15,000\.00 per month
