Job Summary
The Hotel Accountant is responsible for managing all financial transactions, maintaining accounting records, preparing reports, handling GST compliance, monitoring revenue, and ensuring accurate financial operations of the hotel.
Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Accounting
- Record daily sales, receipts, and expenses.
- Verify cash, card, UPI, and bank transactions.
- Maintain day books, ledgers, and vouchers.
- Reconcile front office revenue with accounts.
Revenue Management
- Monitor room revenue, restaurant revenue, and other income.
- Verify OTA bookings and commission deductions.
- Check occupancy reports and revenue reports.
- Ensure proper billing and invoicing.
GST \& Tax Compliance
- Generate GST invoices.
- File GST returns and maintain records.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants.
Accounts Payable
- Process vendor bills and payments.
- Verify purchase orders and invoices.
- Maintain supplier accounts.
- Track outstanding payments.
Accounts Receivable
- Follow up on corporate and travel agent payments.
- Maintain debtor records.
- Reconcile customer accounts.
Payroll \& Employee Payments
- Process salaries and incentives.
- Maintain attendance and payroll records.
- Handle PF, ESI, and other statutory deductions if applicable.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare daily revenue reports.
- Prepare monthly profit \& loss statements.
- Prepare balance sheets and cash flow reports.
- Assist management with budgeting and forecasting.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of Tally Prime.
- GST and taxation knowledge.
- MS Excel proficiency.
- Hotel accounting knowledge preferred.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
Qualification
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience.
- Hotel industry experience preferred.
Working Hours
- 9\-hour shift.
- Weekly off as per hotel policy.
Salary
- Based on experience and qualifications.
