Accountant / Senior Accountant

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable professional who will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing daily transactions, handling taxation (GST, TDS), and ensuring strict inventory and billing reconciliation. The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in Tally Prime and an understanding of the retail business landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• **Daily Accounting \& Bookkeeping:** Manage day\-to\-day accounting entries, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments using Tally Prime.
• **Cash \& Bank Management:** Perform daily reconciliation of cash registers, bank statements, and digital payment gateways.
• **Taxation \& Compliance:** Prepare data for and file GST, TDS, and Income Tax returns accurately and on time.
• **Inventory Tracking:** Maintain and cross\-verify daily stock ledgers for gold, silver, and diamond inventories.
• **Billing Support:** Oversee the generation of accurate customer invoices, ensuring the correct calculation of gold weight, making charges, and applicable taxes.
• **Vendor Management:** Reconcile vendor accounts, handle accounts payable/receivable, and manage ledger entries.
• **Financial Reporting:** Generate monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and MIS reports for management review.
• **Audit Coordination:** Assist the company’s Chartered Accountant during internal and statutory audits.

Requirements \& Qualifications

• **Education:** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce (B.Com/M.Com). CA Inter is a strong advantage.
• **Experience:** 2 to 5 years of proven accounting experience. *Prior experience in the jewellery, retail, or bullion industry is highly preferred.*
• **Software Skills:** Expert proficiency in Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime and MS Excel.
• **Knowledge:** Strong practical understanding of current GST laws, TDS, and retail taxation processes.
• **Attributes:** High ethical standards, strict attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential financial and stock data securely.

Pay: ₹20,000\.00 \- ₹28,000\.00 per month
