Trainee Accountant Intern – US Accounting

Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail\-oriented **Accounting Intern** to join our US Accounting team. This internship is ideal for candidates who want to gain hands\-on experience in US accounting processes, financial reporting, and compliance while working with international clients. The intern will support day\-to\-day accounting operations and assist senior team members during month\-end and year\-end activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining financial records and accounting documentation
- Support accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger activities
- Help prepare financial statements and reports as per US GAAP guidelines
- Assist in bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support month\-end and year\-end closing processes
- Maintain and organize invoices, vouchers, and financial data
- Coordinate with internal teams for accounting\-related information
- Learn and work on accounting software such as QuickBooks and Zoho Books
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of financial information
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree pursuing/completed in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Familiarity with MS Excel and accounting tools/software is a plus
- Good analytical and problem\-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
- Knowledge of US accounting concepts or US GAAP
- Internship/project experience in accounting or finance
- Familiarity with QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software
