Overview
The Payroll Apprentice will support the Payroll team in ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee payroll. The role includes assisting with data validation, documentation, statutory compliance checks, and coordination with HR and Finance teams. This position is ideal for a candidate who is eager to learn payroll processes and build a career in Payroll Operations.
Your role
+ Assist in the preparation and validation of monthly payroll inputs (new joiners, leavers, etc.).
+ Support the team in processing Full \& Final (F\&F) settlements.
+ Help maintain payroll records and update employee information in the payroll system.
+ Support statutory compliance activities such as PF, ESI, PT, LWF, and income tax checks.
+ Help prepare reports and documentation required by Team.
+ Assist in preparing monthly payroll reports for HR and Finance teams.
+ Perform basic data checks and help maintain payroll trackers.
+ Support reconciliation activities related to payroll and statutory payments.
+ Assist in resolving basic employee payroll queries.
+ Coordinate with HRBPs, Finance, and other internal teams on payroll\-related matters.
+ Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Preferably commerce background.
+ Fresh graduates or candidates with 1\-2 years' experience who is willing to work as an apprentice
+ Basic understanding of payroll concepts such as CTC structure, gross earnings, deductions, reimbursements, and statutory components.
+ Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables—basic level acceptable).
+ Familiarity with payroll systems (added advantage).
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Good communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information.
+ Eagerness to learn and willingness to work in a collaborative team environment.
