Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient **Assistant General Manager (AGM) – Technical** with extensive experience in the centrifugal pump industry, specialising in **application engineering, technical troubleshooting, product performance and customer technical support**.

The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of centrifugal pump applications, system performance, fault diagnosis and technical problem\-solving.

Professionals currently working as **Senior Service Managers, Senior Product Managers, Application Engineering Managers or Technical Managers** within the centrifugal pump industry are encouraged to apply.

• *Key Responsibilities**

Application Engineering \& Technical Solutions

• Lead application engineering activities for centrifugal pumps across industrial applications.
• Evaluate customer requirements and recommend suitable centrifugal pump solutions.
• Review operating conditions, pump selection parameters, system requirements and performance specifications.
• Provide technical guidance on pump selection, sizing and application suitability.
• Analyse pump performance, operating efficiency and application\-related challenges.
• Coordinate with customers and internal engineering teams to develop practical technical solutions.

• *Technical Troubleshooting \& Problem Resolution**

• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of centrifugal pump failures and performance\-related issues.
• Diagnose problems involving cavitation, vibration, excessive noise, seal failures, bearing failures and reduced pump efficiency.
• Investigate installation, operation and system\-related issues affecting pump performance.
• Recommend corrective and preventive measures to improve equipment reliability.
• Provide expert technical assistance for complex customer complaints and field\-related problems.
• Support technical investigations, failure analysis and product improvement initiatives.

Product \& Technical Management

• Provide technical expertise on centrifugal pump products, applications and performance characteristics.
• Coordinate with design, manufacturing, quality and service teams to resolve product\-related concerns.
• Identify opportunities for technical improvements, product reliability and performance optimisation.
• Support product evaluations, application reviews and technical discussions.
• Review technical specifications and ensure proposed pump solutions meet customer requirements.

Customer Technical Support \& Service Management

• Act as a senior technical contact for critical customer issues and escalations.
• Guide service teams in diagnosing and resolving complex technical problems.
• Participate in customer technical meetings, site evaluations and troubleshooting discussions.
• Support commissioning, performance assessment and application\-related troubleshooting.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers through effective technical support.

Leadership \& Cross\-Functional Coordination

• Provide technical direction and guidance to application engineering, service and product support teams.
• Coordinate with Sales, Design, Production, Quality and Service departments.
• Support technical training and knowledge development for engineering and service personnel.
• Drive continuous improvement in technical support, troubleshooting and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure timely resolution of critical technical issues.

Required Qualifications \& Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline preferred.
• **Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the centrifugal pump industry is mandatory.**
• Strong hands\-on expertise in centrifugal pump application engineering and technical troubleshooting.
• Extensive understanding of centrifugal pump performance, operating principles and industrial applications.
• Experience diagnosing pump failures and implementing technical solutions.
• Ability to interpret pump performance curves, operating parameters and technical specifications.
• Strong technical problem\-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Experience interacting with industrial customers and handling complex technical escalations.
• Good leadership, communication, customer management and cross\-functional coordination skills.

• Relevant technical experience in industrial centrifugal pump applications.

• *Important:** Candidates with experience exclusively in general machinery, compressors, motors or unrelated equipment without substantial centrifugal pump industry exposure may not be suitable.

Compensation within the stated range will depend on relevant experience, technical expertise and interview performance.
