Assistant Manager - Finance

• *About the Role:**

Side is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager \- Finance to join our finance team. Based in London, this role will support the Finance Manager and broader finance function by overseeing daily finance operations, contributing to financial planning and analysis, and helping drive process improvements. The Assistant Manager will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial management, reporting, and compliance, while supporting and mentoring junior finance staff.

• *Key Responsibilities:**

Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation and review of financial reports including management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.

Oversee the month\-end and quarter\-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Support day\-to\-day finance operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliations.

Coordinate with shared service centers and business units to gather financial data and resolve issues.

Lead initiatives to improve finance processes and systems efficiency, including automation opportunities.

Assist with preparation for audit and statutory reporting requirements.

Provide mentorship, guidance, and training to junior finance team members.

Partner with cross\-functional teams to provide financial insights for decision\-making and business growth.

Requirements

Graduate (Finance) with 8\+ years of experience

Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecast preparation.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.

Experience managing or mentoring junior staff is highly desirable.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in ERP systems; familiarity with D365 is a plus.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Experience in the gaming or technology industry is advantageous but not essential.
