- *Job Summary**

The Assistant Manager – Quality (Casting) is responsible for ensuring the quality of cast components throughout the manufacturing process. The role involves implementing quality systems, monitoring process controls, handling customer requirements, managing inspections, resolving quality issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to achieve customer satisfaction and operational excellence.**Key Responsibilities**
### **Quality Assurance \& Control**
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and company procedures.
- Develop and implement quality control plans for casting processes.
- Monitor incoming, in\-process, and final inspection activities.
- Review and approve inspection reports and quality documentation.
- Ensure adherence to ISO and other applicable quality management systems.
### **Casting Process Quality**
- Monitor quality parameters in foundry and casting operations.
- Analyze casting defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with Production, Process Engineering, and Maintenance teams to improve product quality.
- Drive defect reduction initiatives and process capability improvements.
- Monitor scrap, rejection, and rework trends and implement improvement actions.
### **Customer Quality Management**
- Handle customer complaints and quality concerns effectively.
- Lead root cause analysis using quality tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, and CAPA.
- Coordinate customer audits and quality reviews.
- Ensure timely closure of customer corrective actions.
### **Supplier Quality Management**
- Evaluate and monitor supplier quality performance.
- Support supplier audits and quality improvement activities.
- Resolve supplier\-related quality issues.
### **Audit \& Compliance**
- Conduct internal process and product audits.
- Support external, customer, and certification audits.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and statutory regulations.
### **Team Leadership \& Continuous Improvement**
- Guide and support quality inspectors and engineers.
- Conduct quality training and awareness programs.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
- Drive quality objectives and departmental KPIs.
- *Qualification \& Experience**
- ------------------------------
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Production Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within the Casting Industry.
- Experience in ferrous and non\-ferrous casting processes is preferred.
- Exposure to foundry operations, machining, and customer quality requirements is desirable.
