Job Description
Responsibilities \& Key Deliverables
Validate On\-Board Chargers (OBC), DC\-DC Converters, and vehicle/system\-level power electronics against specifications, DFMEA requirements, automotive standards, and lessons learned.
Perform hardware testing and validation at component, subsystem, and system levels for power electronic products.
Analyze CAN logs and vehicle data to identify issues, diagnose failures, and support root cause analysis.
Prepare Design Verification Plans (DVP) and execute validation activities as per project requirements.
Design, develop, and maintain test setups for validation and endurance testing.
Automate test systems and validation processes to improve testing efficiency and data accuracy.
Execute validation tests, document observations, and generate comprehensive test reports.
Troubleshoot test equipment, validation setups, and product\-related issues during testing.
Collaborate closely with design, software, quality, manufacturing, suppliers, and external test labs throughout the validation cycle.
Plan, track, and ensure timely completion of validation activities in line with project milestones.
Conduct EMI/EMC validation and compliance testing for OBCs, DC\-DC converters, and other power electronic systems.
Review and validate product performance against functional, reliability, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Lead defect analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions using structured problem\-solving methodologies.
Apply quality tools such as DFMEA, DQA, 8D, Why\-Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, FTA, and 7 QC tools for issue resolution.
Support homologation and certification activities by providing technical inputs, documentation, and validation evidence.
Drive zero\-defect product development through effective validation planning and execution.
Lead technical discussions and coordinate with cross\-functional teams to resolve validation\-related concerns.
Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and maintenance of validation records and test reports.
Independently make technical decisions related to validation, testing strategy, and issue resolution.
Continuously improve validation processes, methodologies, and test automation frameworks.
Experience
Graduate in Electrical engineering
Industry Preferred
Qualifications
BE Electronics / BE Electricals
General Requirements
Hands on experience on tools like CAN Analyser, CAN data Analysis , Busmaster, Oscilloscope, Pulse generator/Functional generator, Electronic Loads, Dataloggers.
Knowledge of automotive, electrical and electronics components functionality
Should be able to work in CFT and lead the project by coordinating with multiple teams.
Multitasking\- Ability to handle multiple proposals and variants within the platform
Candidate should be able to manage time and available to work w.r.t time line
Analytical mindset\- Root cause analysis using QC tools like\- 8D, FTA, 7 QC tools.
