Assistant Restaurant Manager

Key Responsibilities:\-

Operations Management

• Assist in managing day\-to\-day restaurant operations.
• Ensure smooth opening, closing, and shift procedures.
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

Staff Supervision

• Supervise and support restaurant staff during shifts.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training employees.
• Schedule staff shifts and manage attendance.
• Motivate team members and address performance issues.

Customer Service

• Ensure guests receive exceptional service.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
• Maintain a welcoming and positive dining environment.
• Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements.

Financial Management

• Assist in controlling labor and food costs.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders when needed.
• Support cash handling, daily sales reconciliation, and reporting.
• Help achieve revenue and profitability targets.

Inventory \& Stock Control

• Monitor stock levels of food, beverages, and supplies.
• Conduct regular inventory counts.
• Minimize waste and prevent stock shortages.

Compliance \& Safety

• Ensure adherence to food safety standards and local regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
• Conduct safety inspections and enforce workplace safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• 1–3 years of restaurant or food service supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, food safety, and customer service standards.
• Experience with POS systems and inventory management.
