Position Summary

OneMain Financial is seeking a highly skilled AIFluent Full Stack Software Engineer who can independently design build deploy and support modern enterprise applications This contractor will use AIassisted development tools agentic engineering workflows and cloudnative practices to accelerate delivery while maintaining high standards for quality security scalability and maintainability

The ideal candidate is a handson engineer who works across the full technology stack including frontend applications APIs databases cloud infrastructure DevOps pipelines and production deployment The resource must be comfortable translating business requirements into technical solutions producing architecture diagrams and managing multiple codebases with minimal supervision

Role outcome Deliver productionready software faster by combining strong fullstack engineering AIassisted coding practices cloud deployment skills and clear communication with business and technology stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Application Development

Design develop test and maintain enterprisegrade web applications and services

Build responsive frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React Angular or similar

Develop and maintain RESTful APIs microservices and backend integrations

Design and optimize relational and nonrelational database solutions

Implement secure scalable resilient and maintainable application architectures

AIAssisted Software Engineering

Use AI IDE tools and coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot Cursor or equivalent tools to accelerate development

Apply agentic engineering approaches to automate code generation testing documentation issue remediation and development workflows

Create and maintain AIenabled development pipelines and engineering automation solutions

Evaluate and adopt emerging AI development capabilities that improve developer productivity and software quality

Cloud Platform and DevOps Engineering

Deploy and manage applications using AWS and Azure cloud services

Build and maintain containerized solutions using Docker Kubernetes and OpenShift

Design and maintain CICD pipelines in GitHub and GitHub Actions

Automate build test deployment release and rollback processes

Integrate security compliance quality gates and observability into delivery pipelines

Support DevSecOps practices and production operational excellence

Architecture and Requirements Translation

Translate business requirements into solution designs implementation plans and technical stories

Manages work tasks in Jira and uses Confluence Miro for documentation

Create architecture diagrams system flows integration diagrams and technical documentation

Conduct design reviews and provide recommendations on architecture scalability reliability and maintainability

Identify technical risks dependencies tradeoffs and modernization opportunities early

Collaboration and Communication

Communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences

Operate with minimal supervision while keeping stakeholders informed on progress risks and decisions

Manage multiple repositories codebases priorities and delivery commitments in parallel
