- **Reporting to:** Senior Accountant / Audit Manager / Partner
Key Responsibilities1\. Accounting \& Bookkeeping
- Maintain books of accounts in Tally Prime, Zoho Books, and other accounting software.
- Pass accounting entries for sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and vendor/customer reconciliations.
- Assist in monthly and year\-end book closure activities.
- Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documents.
2\. GST Compliance
- Preparation and filing support for GSTR\-1 and GSTR\-3B.
- Reconciliation of GSTR\-2B with Purchase Register.
- Follow up with clients for GST\-related documents and clarifications.
- Assist in GST annual return data preparation.
- Support GST assessments and departmental notices.
3\. Income Tax \& TDS Compliance
- Preparation of basic income tax computations.
- Assist in filing Income Tax Returns for Individuals, Firms, LLPs, and Companies.
- Preparation of TDS workings and challans.
- Support quarterly TDS return filings (24Q, 26Q, 27Q).
- Download and reconcile Form 26AS and AIS reports.
4\. Payroll \& Statutory Compliance
- Assist in monthly payroll processing.
- Preparation and filing support for:
- PF Returns
- ESI Returns
- Professional Tax Returns
- Maintain employee records and compliance documentation.
5\. Audit Support
- Assist in Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, Internal Audit, and GST Audit assignments.
- Verification of vouchers, invoices, agreements, and supporting documents.
- Preparation of audit schedules and working papers.
- Physical verification of inventory and fixed assets whenever required.
- Respond to audit queries under the guidance of seniors.
6\. ROC \& Secretarial Support
- Assist in preparation of MCA filings and annual compliance documents.
- Support maintenance of statutory registers and records.
- Assist in drafting board resolutions, meeting minutes, and other secretarial documents.
7\. Client Coordination
- Collect accounting and compliance data from clients.
- Track compliance due dates and follow up for pending documents.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of client records.
- Provide regular status updates to reporting managers.
