An AutoCAD Electrical Design Engineer translates engineering concepts into technical blueprints and schematics. The role focuses heavily on system layouts, calculating technical parameters, and enforcing electrical standards.
Core Responsibilities
**Drafting \& Layouts:** Create and modify detailed 2D/3D electrical drawings, including Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), cable routing, cable trays, and lighting/earthing layouts.
**System Design:** Design HT/MV/LV power distribution, control panels, and automation systems.
**Calculations:** Perform engineering calculations such as voltage drop, fault current, load analysis, and short\-circuit simulations.
**BOMs \& Documentation:** Prepare and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs) and technical reports.
**Coordination:** Liaise with mechanical, structural, and civil teams to prevent design clashes across building or plant facilities.
Key Requirements
**Education:** Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
**Software:** High proficiency in AutoCAD and related design software like EPLAN or Revit MEP.
**Standards:** Strong understanding of local and international electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEEE, IEC).
**Skills:** Strong spatial coordination, problem\-solving, and attention to detail
