JOB DESCRIPTION – HEAD OF ELECTRICAL PROJECT BILLING

Job Summary

MNR Electricals is looking for an experienced Electrical Billing Head to independently manage electrical project billing operations, including RA bills, BOQ preparation, quantity verification, client billing, reconciliation and payment follow\-ups. The candidate should have strong knowledge of electrical project execution, commercial billing and contract documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle complete electrical project billing activities from project initiation to final billing.
• Prepare and submit RA Bills (Running Account Bills), final bills and progressive bills to clients.
• Prepare, review and verify BOQ (Bill of Quantities), billing quantities and project measurements.
• Verify site measurements, work completion reports and material consumption against approved BOQ.
• Handle electrical project billing for HT, LT, cable laying, panel installation, transformer installation, substation and other electrical works.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Planning and Execution teams for billing measurements and supporting documents.
• Ensure billing is prepared as per approved drawings, work orders, contract terms and client specifications.
• Prepare extra\-item claims, deviation statements, variation claims and additional work bills.
• Coordinate with clients and consultants for bill certification, approval and clarification of billing discrepancies.
• Monitor project\-wise billing progress, outstanding amounts and payment collections.
• Maintain billing records, project\-wise MIS reports and monthly billing statements.
• Lead and supervise the electrical billing team and ensure timely submission of bills.
• Coordinate with Accounts and Finance teams for invoice processing, GST documentation and payment reconciliation.
• Provide regular billing and collection status updates to management.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Electrical Project Billing and RA Bills.
• Expertise in BOQ preparation, quantity surveying and measurement sheets.
• Knowledge of HT/LT electrical works, substations, transformers, panels and cable laying.
• Understanding of electrical drawings, SLDs and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of contract agreements, billing terms and extra\-item claims.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD and Tally / ERP software.
• Strong client coordination, negotiation and team management skills.

Candidate Requirements

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in Electrical Project Billing.
• Experience in Electrical EPC, Infrastructure or Industrial Projects.
• Ability to independently manage end\-to\-end electrical billing operations.
• Strong knowledge of project commercial activities and client bill certification.
• Good communication, coordination and leadership skills.
