BIM Modeller : B Architect

Role Overview

The BIM Modeller (Architectural) is responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating detailed Building Information Models for architectural projects. The role involves preparing accurate 3D models, construction drawings, documentation, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams using BIM software and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain architectural BIM models using software such as Autodesk Revit.
• Create detailed architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and documentation.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and design teams for clash\-free models.
• Ensure BIM standards, project workflows, and naming conventions are followed.
• Produce LOD\-based models as per project requirements.
• Assist in model audits, clash detection, and design coordination meetings.
• Update models based on design revisions and site inputs.
• Extract quantities, schedules, and BOQs from BIM models when required.
• Support visualization and presentation requirements.
• Maintain project documentation and BIM data accuracy.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit for architectural modelling.
• Good knowledge of BIM workflows and standards.
• Experience with AutoCAD and architectural drafting.
• Basic understanding of clash detection tools like Autodesk Navisworks.
• Understanding of construction drawings and detailing.
• Knowledge of architectural materials and building systems.
• Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.

Preferred Software Knowledge

• Autodesk Revit
• AutoCAD
• Autodesk Navisworks
• SketchUp
• Lumion or Enscape
• Basic knowledge of BIM 360 is an advantage.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Architecture or related field.
• Certification in BIM/Revit preferred.

Experience

• 1–5 years of experience in Architectural BIM Modelling.
• Experience in residential, commercial, healthcare, or infrastructure projects preferred.
