The **Business Development Manager** (BDM) will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing strong client relationships, increasing company sales, and expanding the market presence of **EVO Innovative Surfaces**. The role requires proactive lead generation, customer meetings, business negotiations, sales conversion, and coordination with internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
Key Roles \& Responsibilities
- *1\. Business Development**
- Identify new business opportunities and potential clients.
- Generate leads through market visits, references, networking, calls, and online platforms.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase company sales and market reach.
- Expand business in laminates, wall stickers, decorative surfaces, and related products/services.
- *2\. Client Relationship Management**
- Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, builders, contractors, dealers, corporate clients, and retail customers.
- Conduct regular client meetings and follow\-ups.
- Maintain long\-term professional relationships for repeat business.
- *3\. Sales \& Revenue Growth**
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Prepare quotations and coordinate pricing discussions.
- Negotiate business deals and close sales opportunities.
- Ensure timely order closure and payment coordination.
- *4\. Market Research \& Competition Analysis**
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing.
- Identify new product opportunities and customer demands.
- Provide regular market feedback to management.
- *5\. Project Coordination**
- Coordinate with operations, warehouse/godown, and office staff for project execution.
- Ensure smooth communication between client and internal team.
- Support installation and delivery planning when required.
- *6\. Reporting \& Documentation**
- Maintain daily visit reports and business activity reports.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Update client database, follow\-ups, and business pipeline.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Sales and client handling ability.
- Leadership and team coordination skills.
- Market understanding and business growth mindset.
- Professional presentation and relationship\-building ability.
- Basic computer knowledge (Excel, Word, Email, CRM preferred).
- *Educational Qualification**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field preferred.
- Relevant experience may be considered in place of formal education.
- Minimum **3–5 years** experience in Business Development / Sales preferred.
- Experience in **interior products, laminates, decorative surfaces, building materials, furniture, architecture, or construction industry** will be an added advantage.
