Data Management Engineer

This role requires someone who can Design, develop, and maintain scalable databases and data models to enable efficient storage, retrieval, and integration of master data across systems. Build, optimize, and continuously improve master data governance workflows and ETL processes to ensure accuracy and consistency. Develop automated scripts and tools to streamline data processing, enhance efficiency, and reduce manual effort. Contribute to agentic AI initiatives by providing strong master data foundations and integrations. Implement and enhance systems that support master data creation, validation, distribution, and quality monitoring. Collaborate closely with IT teams to deploy and seamlessly integrate solutions within the enterprise architecture. Support master data cleansing, standardization, and migration activities during implementation and transformation initiatives. Work with business stakeholders and Master Data Governance teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions. Ensure all developments align with enterprise IT strategies, data governance standards, and compliance policies. Provide technical expertise and guidance during system upgrades, migrations, and large\-scale transformations involving master data.

In this role you’ll make an impact by

• Provide global support for master data platforms and database systems by managing service requests and incidents, ensuring seamless day\-to\-day business operations.
• Gather and document business requirements for data management enhancements, and prepare detailed technical and solution specifications, including documentation for validation and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Design, develop, and continuously improve database and MDM solutions to enable efficient master data creation, validation, distribution, and quality monitoring, supporting overall business growth.
• Participate in data management initiatives and projects across development, testing, and deployment phases, ensuring scalable and high\-quality data solutions aligned with enterprise standards.

To succeed in this role, you must hold

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
• 3–6 years of practical experience in database development, design, or data engineering.
• Strong command of SQL, with hands\-on experience in relational databases like MySQL, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Working knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) platforms and data quality/governance tools.
• Experience in scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell) along with exposure to ETL tools such as Informatica or Talend.
• Good understanding of database architecture, data modeling techniques, and data lifecycle concepts.
• Proven ability to interpret technical and business requirements and convert them into scalable solutions.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse, cross\-functional teams.
• Familiarity with data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices.
