Job Description – Deputy Manager – Administration

MSP Steel \& Power Limited operates an integrated steel manufacturing facility at Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, with operations across pellet plant, sponge iron, steel melting, rolling mills, ferro alloys, captive power and allied utilities.
Job Purpose
To manage and coordinate all administrative functions of the plant, ensuring seamless support services, security management, facility upkeep, vendor administration, transport management, and employee welfare while maintaining a safe, efficient, and cost\-effective work environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdministration \& Facility Management
- Ensure smooth functioning of all administrative activities across plant, office, guest house, canteen, colony, and common facilities.
- Manage housekeeping, horticulture, sanitation, pest control, and infrastructure maintenance.
- Oversee upkeep of office buildings, meeting rooms, utility areas, and employee amenities.
- Monitor facility service standards and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Security Management
- Coordinate plant and township security operations.
- Ensure effective access control, visitor management, material gate control, and surveillance systems.
- Investigate security incidents and implement preventive measures.
- Liaise with local police and government authorities whenever required.
Transport \& Fleet Management
- Manage company vehicles, transportation contracts, and logistics support.
- Ensure optimum utilization and maintenance of vehicles.
- Monitor transport costs and service quality.
Vendor \& Contract Management
- Identify, evaluate, and manage administrative service providers and contractors.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance with agreed SLAs.
- Process vendor bills and ensure timely documentation and approvals.
Employee Welfare \& Support Services
- Ensure efficient operation of canteen, guest house, accommodation, transportation, and welfare facilities.
- Address employee grievances related to administrative services.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and welfare programs.
Budget \& Cost Control
- Prepare and monitor annual administration budgets.
- Control administrative expenditures through effective resource utilization.
- Identify cost\-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
Emergency \& Crisis Management
- Support business continuity plans and emergency response activities.
- Coordinate administrative support during shutdowns, audits, inspections, and crisis situations.
Educational Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline.
- MBA / PG Diploma in Administration, Facility Management, HR, or related field preferred.
Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in Administration, Facility Management, Security, or Industrial Relations.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a supervisory/managerial role within manufacturing, steel, power, cement, mining, or heavy industry.
- Experience in large industrial plant administration and township management preferred.
