Mayfair Machinekraft Pvt. Ltd., established in 2001, is a leading manufacturer of cable machinery and plant equipment for the Jelly Filled Telephone Cable and Power Cable industry. The company specializes in manufacturing machinery such as Skip Stranders, Tubular Stranders, Drum Twisters, Armouring Machines, Wire Take\-Up Machines, and other customized engineering solutions.
We are looking for a dynamic **Design Engineer – Mechanical** to design and develop industrial machinery and equipment used in the cable manufacturing industry. The candidate will be responsible for creating 3D models, manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and supporting the production team throughout the project lifecycle.
- Design mechanical components, assemblies, and machine layouts using **SolidWorks**.
- Prepare 3D models, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Develop and modify designs based on customer requirements and manufacturing feasibility.
- Perform basic engineering calculations related to machine design and material selection.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, and Quality teams during project execution.
- Resolve design\-related issues during fabrication and assembly.
- Support product improvement, standardization, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Maintain engineering documentation and drawing revisions.
- Provide technical support during machine installation and commissioning, when required.
- Proficiency in **SolidWorks** (Part Modeling, Assemblies, Weldments, and Drafting).
- Strong understanding of machine design fundamentals and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of fabrication, machining, welding, and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with shafts, bearings, gear drives, couplings, chains, and other mechanical systems.
- Good analytical, problem\-solving, and communication skills.
