The Site Engineer – HVAC is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and ensuring the effective installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems within MEP infrastructure projects. The role ensures all HVAC works are executed in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, international standards, safety regulations, and project timelines while maintaining quality and energy efficiency requirements.
- *Minimum Educational Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Professional certification in HVAC or MEP systems is an added advantage
- Minimum 5–15 years of experience in HVAC / Mechanical Site Engineering within MEP projects
- Strong experience in HVAC installation for infrastructure, hotels, resorts, commercial buildings, or high\-rise projects
- Mandatory experience working on overseas site\-based construction projects.
- Prior experience in island\-based site environments such as Maldives is highly preferred.
- Exposure to international construction standards and multicultural site\-based working environments is essential.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems (Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRV/VRF systems, ventilation systems)
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
- Knowledge of HVAC load calculations and ducting/piping installation standards
- Experience in testing, balancing, and commissioning (TBC) of HVAC systems
- Understanding of energy efficiency principles and HVAC control systems (BMS preferred)
- Familiarity with AutoCAD / Revit for coordination and shop drawing review (preferred)
- *Primary Responsibilities**
- Supervise installation of HVAC systems including ducting, piping, insulation, and equipment installation
- Ensure all works are executed according to approved drawings and specifications
- Coordinate with other MEP disciplines (Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV)
- Monitor subcontractors, site workforce, and daily productivity
- Conduct inspections, testing, commissioning, and performance verification of HVAC systems
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and site safety procedures
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation
- Maintain daily site records, progress reports, and QA/QC documentation
- Support system handover and project completion documentation
- The selected candidate should be willing to travel abroad according to business requirements.
