- *Job Description – Ambulance Driver**

- *Location:** Multi\-Speciality Hospital
The Ambulance Driver is responsible for safely operating the hospital ambulance to transport patients, medical staff, and equipment as required. The role ensures prompt response during emergencies and adherence to traffic, hospital, and healthcare regulations, maintaining patient safety and dignity at all times.
- Safely operate the ambulance for emergency and non\-emergency patient transport.
- Ensure timely response to emergency calls and patient transfers as per hospital protocols.
- Assist paramedical staff during patient loading, unloading, and transfer.
- Regularly check, clean, and maintain the ambulance to ensure roadworthiness and hygiene.
- Conduct routine checks of ambulance equipment (oxygen cylinder, stretcher, first aid, etc.) and report shortages/damages immediately.
- Comply with hospital protocols, traffic rules, and patient confidentiality requirements.
- Maintain proper records of trips, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Support medical staff during emergencies with basic assistance (not clinical care).
- Follow infection control and safety guidelines strictly.
- Remain on\-call and available during assigned duty hours.
- *Qualifications \& Experience**
- Minimum 10th / 12th standard education .
- Valid Heavy/Light Motor Vehicle (LMV/HMV) driving license with badge endorsement.
- Minimum **2–5 years’ experience** as an ambulance driver in hospitals or emergency services.
- Knowledge of basic first aid (preferred).
- Familiarity with local routes and emergency driving protocols.

- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations.
- Good communication and coordination skills with medical staff.
- Punctual, disciplined, and reliable.
- Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and patient care orientation.
- Rotational shifts including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Exposure to emergency and critical patient transport situations.
- Physically demanding role requiring lifting and assisting patients.
