- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Electrical Supervisor License preferred
- Knowledge of HT/LT systems, DG Sets, PLCs, VFDs, and Industrial Automation
Job Summary
The Electrical Engineer shall be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted power supply, efficient operation and maintenance of all electrical systems, utilities, and manufacturing machinery within the plant. The role includes management of 33 KV electrical infrastructure, transformers, HT/LT panels, DG sets, power distribution systems, and preventive maintenance of all production equipment.
Key ResponsibilitiesA. 33 KV \& Power Infrastructure Management
- Operation and maintenance of 33 KV incoming power line and associated switchyard.
- Monitoring of power consumption and electrical load management.
- Maintenance of HT Panels, VCBs, RMUs, CT/PT units and protection relays.
- Coordination with electricity board and power distribution authorities.
- Ensuring safe operation of transformers and electrical substations.
- Monitoring transformer performance, oil testing, and preventive maintenance.
- Analysis of power quality issues including harmonics, voltage fluctuations and power factor.
- Ensure optimal utilization of contracted demand and avoidance of penalties.
- Maintain statutory records related to electrical installations.
B. Transformer \& Substation Management
- Maintenance of Power Transformers.
- Transformer oil filtration and testing.
- Monitoring temperature, load and protection systems.
- Ensuring proper earthing and lightning protection systems.
- Preventive maintenance of switchgear and substation equipment.
- Maintaining spare inventory for critical electrical components.
C. Manufacturing Machinery Maintenance

- Breakdown analysis and troubleshooting.
- Electrical fault diagnosis.

- Reduction of machine downtime through preventive maintenance.
D. Automation \& Controls
- Troubleshooting PLC systems.
- Troubleshooting SCADA systems.
- Maintenance of sensors, encoders and instrumentation.
- Calibration of instruments and control devices.
- Integration of automation systems for process improvement.
- Implementation of energy\-saving automation projects.
E. DG Set \& Utility Maintenance
- Operation and maintenance of DG Sets.
- Synchronization panel maintenance.
- Fuel consumption monitoring.
- Emergency power backup readiness.
- Preventive maintenance scheduling.
- Utility power distribution management.
F. Preventive \& Predictive Maintenance
- Develop and implement PM schedules.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of major breakdowns.
- Maintain equipment history cards.
- Monitor MTBF and MTTR.
- Implement predictive maintenance techniques.
- Prepare annual maintenance plans.
G. Energy Management
- Monitor plant energy consumption.
- Identify opportunities for energy savings.
- Improve power factor and reduce electrical losses.
- Conduct energy audits.
- Implement energy\-efficient technologies.
- Track department\-wise power consumption.
H. Safety \& Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Electrical Safety Standards.
- Compliance with Electricity Act and Factory Regulations.
- Conduct electrical safety audits.
- Implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Ensure proper PPE usage.
- Conduct electrical safety training programs.
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and safety norms.
I. Team Management
- Supervise electricians and technicians.
- Allocate maintenance work.
- Monitor contractor performance.
- Conduct skill development programs.
- Maintain manpower planning and shift deployment.
J. Documentation \& Reporting
- Maintain electrical drawings and schematics.
- Maintain maintenance records.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports.
- Track electrical KPIs.
- Manage spare parts inventory.
- Prepare CAPEX and maintenance budgets.
