- *Position Title: Electrical Liaisoning Engineer**
- *Department:** Projects / Electrical / Compliance
- *Reporting To:** Project Manager / Electrical Head
The Electrical Liaisoning Engineer is responsible for coordinating and obtaining approvals, permissions, sanctions, and clearances from electricity boards, government authorities, utility providers, and statutory bodies for electrical infrastructure and project execution. The role involves handling electrical documentation, compliance, inspections, and liaison activities related to HT/LT connections, load sanctions, energization approvals, and electrical safety regulations.
- *Liaison \& Coordination**
- Coordinate with electricity distribution companies (DISCOMs), electrical inspectors, utility departments, and government authorities.
- Obtain approvals for:
- HT/LT power connections
- Load enhancement/reduction
- Temporary/permanent power supply
- Transformer approvals
- Electrical energization permissions
- Follow up with authorities for timely approvals and clearances.
- Maintain strong professional relationships with officials and consultants.
- *Documentation \& Compliance**
- Prepare and submit electrical drawings, applications, test reports, and statutory documents.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, local regulations, and statutory norms.
- Handle documentation related to:
- Utility/ PWD/ Adani/ TATA/MESCL/ BEST/CEIG approvals
- Electrical inspector permissions
- Meter installation
- Transformer commissioning
- NOCs and completion certificates
- Maintain records of approvals, permits, and correspondence.
- *Technical Coordination**
- Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, consultants, and vendors.
- Review electrical layouts, single\-line diagrams (SLD), and load calculations.
- Support site teams during inspections and testing activities.
- Assist in resolving technical queries raised by authorities.
- *Site \& Inspection Management**
- Arrange inspections with electrical authorities and utility representatives.
- Ensure readiness of electrical installations before inspection.
- Coordinate testing and commissioning activities.
- Monitor compliance with safety practices during execution.
- Track approval timelines and ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Prepare status reports and update management regarding liaison progress.
- Identify delays or compliance risks and recommend corrective actions.
- *Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Additional certification in electrical safety or liaisoning preferred.
- 2–8 years of experience in electrical liaisoning, utility coordination, or electrical project execution.
- Experience dealing with electricity boards, CEIG offices, and statutory authorities preferred.
- Knowledge of HT/LT electrical systems and utility procedures.
- Understanding of electrical regulations, safety norms, and statutory approvals.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Good documentation and follow\-up abilities.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and electrical drawings.
- Ability to manage multiple approvals and deadlines.
- Problem\-solving and negotiation skills.
- CEIG regulations and electrical inspection procedures.
