The Field GPS Installation Engineer is responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of GPS tracking devices and related IoT hardware in vehicles. This field-based role involves visiting client sites to install equipment in various vehicles, including cars, buses, trucks, and two-wheelers. Duties include connecting power supplies, ignition systems, fuel sensors, relays, panic buttons, door sensors, and AC sensors, as well as configuring devices using mobile apps or SMS commands. Ensuring proper product placement and secure wiring is essential. Post-installation, thorough testing of GPS functionality, relay operations, ignition, and wiring must be conducted. The engineer troubleshoots technical issues, coordinates with the support team, and verifies that all devices meet company standards for performance and reliability.
