Job Summary
Responsible for operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability of all Electrical \& Instrumentation systems in the Sinter Plant. The role ensures uninterrupted operation of sinter machines, conveyors, crushers, screens, ESPs, blowers, ignition furnaces, and process control systems.
Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Maintenance
- Maintain HT/LT panels, MCCs, transformers, motors, VFDs, and switchgear.
- Monitor power distribution systems and electrical reliability.
- Attend electrical breakdowns and restore equipment within target time.
- Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
- Ensure safe isolation and LOTO compliance.
Instrumentation \& Automation
- Maintain field instruments such as temperature sensors, pressure transmitters, flow meters, weigh feeders, level transmitters, and gas analyzers.
- Calibration of instruments and control loops.
- Troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, HMI, and DCS systems.
- Perform loop checking and commissioning activities.
- Ensure process parameter accuracy and control system reliability.
Sinter Process Support
- Monitor ignition furnace controls and process instrumentation.
- Support operation of sinter machine, crushers, screens, conveyors, and cooling systems.
- Ensure continuous monitoring of process temperatures, airflow, and gas systems.
- Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime.
Reliability \& Improvement
- Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Identify energy\-saving and automation improvement opportunities.
- Support modernization and plant expansion projects.
Documentation \& Compliance
- Maintain calibration records and maintenance logs.
- Prepare daily breakdown and maintenance reports.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits.

Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech – Electrical, Electronics \& Instrumentation, Instrumentation \& Control, or Electrical \& Electronics Engineering.
Experience
- 3–8 Years in Sinter Plant, Steel Plant, Pellet Plant, Blast Furnace, Power Plant, or Process Industry.
