Job Summary

Vandana Ispat is looking for an experienced and technically proficient Fabrication Head to lead and manage fabrication operations at its steel manufacturing facility in Raipur. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in steel fabrication, production planning, manpower management, quality control, and timely execution of fabrication projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee end\-to\-end fabrication operations, ensuring quality, productivity, and timely delivery.
• Plan and supervise fabrication activities involving structural steel, plates, beams, channels, and other metal components.
• Manage cutting, fit\-up, welding, assembly, and finishing operations.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications.
• Plan manpower, machinery, materials, and production schedules to meet operational targets.
• Supervise fabrication supervisors, welders, fitters, technicians, and other shop\-floor staff.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, welding procedures, dimensional accuracy, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with design, production, quality, maintenance, stores, and project teams.
• Monitor material utilization, productivity, wastage, rework, and overall fabrication costs.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement measures to improve efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to workplace safety procedures and proper maintenance of fabrication equipment.
• Maintain production reports, inspection records, and progress updates for management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in fabrication operations within the steel sector.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication, welding, cutting, fit\-up, assembly, and quality inspection.
• Experience in handling large fabrication teams and managing shop\-floor operations.
• Ability to interpret fabrication drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong leadership, planning, problem\-solving, and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of fabrication quality standards, workplace safety, and production planning.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience specifically in steel plants or steel structural fabrication.
• Ability to independently manage the fabrication department and meet production targets.
• Strong focus on quality, productivity, cost control, and timely execution.
• Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period will be preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000\.00 \- ₹45,000\.00 per month
