Job Summary
The Floor Mill Manager is responsible for overseeing the day\-to\-day operations of the flour mill, ensuring efficient production, quality control, safety compliance, maintenance coordination, inventory management, and workforce supervision. The role focuses on achieving production targets while maintaining product quality and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:Production Management
- Plan, organize, and monitor daily milling operations.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per schedule.
- Optimize machine utilization and operational efficiency.
- Monitor milling processes to minimize wastage and downtime.
Quality Control
- Ensure flour and by\-products meet company and regulatory quality standards.
- Coordinate with the quality team for regular testing and inspections.
- Implement corrective actions for quality deviations.
- Maintain product consistency and customer satisfaction.
Team Management
- Supervise mill operators, technicians, and production staff.
- Allocate work responsibilities and monitor employee performance.
- Conduct training programs on operational procedures and safety practices.
- Foster teamwork and maintain discipline within the department.
Maintenance Coordination
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Ensure machinery and equipment are maintained in good working condition.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to reduce equipment downtime.
- Monitor spare parts requirements and availability.
Inventory \& Material Management
- Monitor stock levels of wheat, grains, packaging materials, and consumables.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials and finished goods.
- Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams for uninterrupted operations.
Safety \& Compliance
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and government regulations.
- Implement workplace safety procedures and hygiene practices.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
- Investigate incidents and implement preventive measures.
Reporting \& Documentation
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Maintain production, quality, maintenance, and inventory records.
- Analyze operational data and recommend process improvements.
- Report key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Food Technology, Agricultural Engineering, or related field.
- Additional certifications in food processing or operations management are preferred.
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in flour milling, food processing, grain handling, or manufacturing operations.
- Minimum 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Pay: ₹50,000\.00 \- ₹80,000\.00 per month
