• *Qualification:** Diploma or Degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design or related field
• *Experience:** Relevant experience 2\-3years in fashion design, fabric sourcing or vendor / production coordination

• *Role Purpose**

The Fashion Designer / Assistant Designer cum Vendor Management role support the design and development of garments while coordinating fabric sourcing, supplier follow\-ups and production vendor requirements.

The role ensures suitable fabrics and materials are sourced and made available to production vendors on time, while design, colour, embroidery, stitching, quality and delivery requirements are followed.

• *Key Responsibilities**

• *1\. Fashion Designing \& Product Development**

Assist in developing design concepts, sketches, mood boards, colour palettes and fabric combinations in line with the company’s design direction.

• *2\. Fabric Sourcing \& Material Selection**

Source fabrics, trims, and accessories as per design and production requirements; check availability, quality, price and lead time.

• *3\. Fabric Order Placement \& Follow\-Up**

Coordinate fabric orders with suppliers and follow up on order status, quantities, delivery dates and delays.

• *4\. Vendor Management**

Maintain regular communication with fabric suppliers and production vendors; coordinate requirements, timelines and issue resolution.

• *5\. Production Coordination**

Ensure required fabrics and materials are available to production vendors as per the production plan and approved requirements.

• *6\. Embroidery, Colour \& Stitching Coordination**

Apply working knowledge of embroidery techniques, colour palettes, stitching, garment construction and finishing while coordinating samples and production.

• *7\. Sampling \& Quality Coordination**

Coordinate sample development, fittings, alterations and approvals; check samples against design specifications and communicate corrections.

• *8\. Production Follow\-Up**

Track production progress with vendors, identify material or timeline risks and escalate delays or quality concerns to the reporting manager.

• *9\. Documentation \& Reporting**

Maintain design references, fabric sourcing details, vendor records, order trackers, sample status and production follow\-up reports.

• *10\. Cross\-Functional Coordination**

Coordinate with design, purchase, merchandising and production teams to support timely and quality\-focused collection execution.

• *Skills \& Competencies**

· Knowledge of fashion design, garment construction, stitching, embroidery and colour palettes

· Fabric sourcing, fabric identification and supplier coordination

· Vendor management, order follow\-up and production coordination

· Ability to track fabric availability and ensure timely material supply to production vendors

· Strong communication, negotiation, organization and documentation skills

Pay: ₹30,000\.00 \- ₹45,000\.00 per month
