Job Description
. The Core Work \& Workflow
A Video Editor bridges the gap between raw production footage and cohesive visual storytelling. Their typical post\-production workflow follows these critical stages:
- **Ingestion \& Organization:** Logging raw footage, syncing multi\-camera angles, and pairing external audio tracks.
- **Assembly Cut (The "Radio Edit"):** Laying down the structural narrative or script outline, prioritizing dialogue and foundational pacing.
- **Rough Cut to Fine Cut:** Trimming frames, perfecting transitions, adjusting pacing, and refining the emotional tone of the story.
- **Color \& Audio Finishing:** Balancing dialogue, adding sound effects (SFX) and music, and performing color correction and color grading to ensure a consistent visual aesthetic.
- **Exporting \& Delivering:** Formatting final renders with correct codecs, frame rates, and resolutions tailored to specific platforms (e.g., YouTube, TikTok, broadcast, or cinema).
