Role Overview
The Head of Academics is responsible for the day\-to\-day academic leadership and execution of Technovalley's training, certification, and professional development programs. The role ensures academic excellence, faculty effectiveness, curriculum quality, learner success, and operational efficiency across all technology domains. The position works closely with the Director – Academics to implement academic strategy and achieve organizational learning objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Operations
- Execute academic strategies and policies defined by the Director – Academics.
- Manage the academic delivery of all training programs and certification courses.
- Ensure smooth scheduling, batch planning, trainer allocation, and academic resource utilization.
- Monitor academic performance across all programs.
Curriculum Management
- Lead curriculum development and periodic updates.
- Ensure course content remains aligned with industry standards and certification requirements.
- Review learning materials, assessments, projects, and lab activities.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts for content enhancement.
Faculty Management
- Recruit, onboard, mentor, and evaluate trainers and instructors.
- Conduct faculty performance reviews and coaching sessions.
- Organize Train\-the\-Trainer (TTT) programs.
- Ensure trainers maintain technical and instructional excellence.
Student Success \& Academic Quality
- Monitor learner progress, attendance, completion rates, and certification outcomes.
- Develop interventions to improve learner engagement and performance.
- Address academic concerns and escalations from students.
- Ensure a high\-quality learning experience across all delivery modes.
Quality Assurance
- Establish and monitor academic quality standards.
- Conduct regular audits of classes, assessments, and training delivery.
- Track key academic metrics and prepare reports for the Director – Academics.
- Ensure compliance with partner and accreditation requirements.
Industry Alignment
- Stay updated on technology trends and certification requirements.
- Support the introduction of new technology programs and specializations.
- Collaborate with industry partners for workshops, guest lectures, and practical projects.

QualificationsEducation
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Education Management, or a related field.
Experience
- 7–12 years of experience in education, training, EdTech, or professional certification environments.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing academic teams, trainers, or faculty.
