Head of Creative Operations

• *POSITION SUMMARY:**

BOT VFX, a visual effects services company with global clients, is looking for a **Head of Creative Operations** as a full\-time **Permanent** role. The position is based out of **Chennai**.**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES*** Identifying inefficient, inconsistent, or under\-resourced operational areas and defining improved processes and tools.

• Ensuring the creative team is appropriately resourced with workstations, central storage, render farms, and DCC licenses.
• Coordinating with the IT department to develop pipeline tools that align with creative department needs.
• Overseeing a team of Technical Directors (TDs), runners, and VFX editors to address ad hoc creative requirements.
• Identifying gaps in artist productivity and implementing targeted training modules to enhance workflow efficiency.
• Managing creative activities from ingest to egress, including I/O processes and central storage conventions.
• Collaborating with the Creative Head, HOP, and CIO to align delivery objectives with resource and pipeline availability.

• *REQUIRED SKILLS*** Experience: At least 10 years of experience in the VFX industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
• Technical Skills: Strong process orientation with an analytical and methodical approach to creative execution.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in overseeing pipeline development and managing technical resources like render farms and storage.
• Soft Skills: Ability to identify high\-impact operational changes and distinguish them from low\-value adjustments.
• Soft Skills: Strong ability to collaborate across departments and drive work decisively under pressure.
• Soft Skills: Exceptionally well\-organized with a proven track record in strategic planning and team management.
• Knowledge: Engineering background is preferred to effectively bridge the gap between creative needs and technical solutions.
