An HVAC Project Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing HVAC systems, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Implementation: Develop HVAC system designs that meet project requirements while adhering to budgets and timelines. This includes performing load calculations, equipment selection, and ductwork/piping layouts.
Project Management: Oversee HVAC projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This involves preparing detailed project schedules and budgets, and monitoring progress against these benchmarks.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross\-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and procurement teams, to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems into overall project designs.
Technical Documentation: Prepare, review, and approve technical documents, drawings, and specifications. Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
Site Oversight: Conduct site visits to oversee installation, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to provide updates and gather feedback throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is typically required.
Experience: A minimum of 3\-5 years of experience in HVAC project management is preferred, with a proven track record of successfully managing HVAC projects.
Technical Skills: In\-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and industry standards. Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD or Revit is often necessary.
