• *2\. Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Modeller with a BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in hydraulic modelling, network analysis, and preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs).

The candidate will be responsible for developing and analysing hydraulic models for water distribution networks, sewerage systems, stormwater drainage networks, and related infrastructure projects. The role involves hydraulic design calculations, network simulation, capacity assessment, preparation of technical reports, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to support the preparation of technically sound and cost\-effective DPRs.

• *4\. Key Roles and Responsibilities**

● Develop, calibrate, validate, and analyse hydraulic models for water supply distribution networks, transmission mains, pumping systems, sewerage networks, and stormwater drainage systems, as applicable to the project.

● Conduct hydraulic simulations to assess network capacity, flow distribution, pressure conditions, velocity, head losses, and system performance.

● Analyse existing infrastructure and identify deficiencies, bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and opportunities for system improvement.

● Undertake demand assessment, flow estimation, peak factor analysis, and future demand projections for proposed infrastructure.

● Perform hydraulic calculations for pipelines, reservoirs, overhead tanks, pumping stations, sewer networks, and drainage systems.

● Evaluate alternative network configurations, pipe diameters, alignments, pumping requirements, and system operating conditions.

● Assess existing and proposed network performance under different demand scenarios and operating conditions.

● Recommend suitable hydraulic design solutions in accordance with applicable standards and project requirements.

o InfoWorks ICM / SWMM for stormwater drainage and integrated hydraulic modelling, where applicable.

● Use AutoCAD and GIS tools for network layouts, spatial data integration, and preparation of model inputs and outputs.

● Work with survey data, digital elevation models, GIS layers, and asset databases to develop and verify hydraulic models.

● Prepare model result plots, hydraulic profiles, thematic maps, and technical presentations

• *5\. Educational Qualifications**

● BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or institution.

● Additional training or certification in hydraulic modelling, water resources engineering, water supply, sewerage, or GIS applications will be an advantage.

• *6\. Experience and Technical Skills**

● Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in hydraulic modelling, water supply engineering, sewerage network design, drainage systems, or infrastructure consultancy.

● Demonstrated experience in preparing hydraulic models and technical reports for DPRs or detailed engineering projects.

● Practical experience in network analysis, hydraulic calculations, flow estimation, pressure assessment, and system capacity evaluation.

● Experience using one or more relevant hydraulic modelling software packages.

● Exposure to government infrastructure projects, urban development projects, municipal engineering, or water and wastewater consultancy assignments is preferred.
