Job Summary
The Industrial Engineering (IE) Executive is responsible for improving productivity, optimizing production processes, establishing Standard Minute Values (SMV), balancing sewing lines, reducing manufacturing costs, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to achieve production targets while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct operation breakdown and prepare operation bulletins for all garment styles.
- Calculate Standard Minute Value (SMV) for each operation and garment style.
- Prepare machine layout and line setup plans based on production requirements.
- Perform line balancing to improve productivity and reduce bottlenecks.
- Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard operating procedures.
- Monitor operator performance and identify opportunities for skill improvement.
- Analyze production efficiency and recommend process improvements.
- Monitor hourly production and identify productivity losses.
- Calculate manpower requirements based on production plans and SMV.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Cutting, Maintenance, and Merchandising teams to ensure smooth production flow.
- Prepare capacity planning reports for production lines.
- Analyze machine utilization and labor utilization.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Conduct method improvement studies to reduce cycle time and improve efficiency.
- Monitor style changeover activities and minimize setup time.
- Support pilot runs and bulk production by validating production methods.
- Train supervisors and operators on best practices and efficient work methods.
- Maintain IE documents, including operation bulletins, capacity reports, efficiency reports, and line balancing sheets.
- Ensure compliance with buyer requirements and company productivity standards.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly IE and production performance reports.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Apparel Technology, Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Fashion Technology, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Industrial Engineering within the garment manufacturing industry.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes.
- Expertise in SMV calculation and time study techniques.
- Line balancing and capacity planning.
- Work study and motion study.
- Production planning and process optimization.
- Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Continuous Improvement.
- Data analysis and report preparation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and production reporting tools.
- Problem\-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork.
- Leadership and training abilities.
Working Conditions
- Factory\-based role involving regular shop floor monitoring.
- Frequent interaction with Production, Quality, Cutting, Maintenance, and Merchandising departments.
- May require extended working hours during peak production periods or critical style launches.

Preferred Competencies
- Knowledge of GSD (General Sewing Data) or similar predetermined motion time systems.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Root Cause Analysis, and PDCA.
- Familiarity with buyer compliance requirements and productivity benchmarking.
- Ability to interpret production data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Pay: ₹15,000\.00 \- ₹35,000\.00 per month
