Key Roles and Responsibilities

1\. GST Compliance \& Return Filing

  • Preparation, review and filing of GST returns, including GSTR\-1, GSTR\-3B, GSTR\-9 and GSTR\-9C.
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual GST compliance for clients.
  • Reconciliation of GSTR\-2B with purchase registers and identification of ITC mismatches.
  • Monitoring GST payment and return filing deadlines.

2\. GST Advisory \& Consultancy

  • Providing GST\-related advisory and consultancy to clients.
  • Advising on applicability of GST, classification of goods and services, HSN/SAC codes and tax rates.
  • Advising on Input Tax Credit eligibility, blocked credits and Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM).
  • Providing guidance on e\-invoicing, e\-way bills and other GST provisions.
  • Assisting clients in GST planning and process improvements.

3\. GST Reconciliation \& Review

  • Reconciliation of books of accounts with GST returns.
  • Conducting periodic GST health checks and compliance reviews.
  • Identifying discrepancies in outward supplies, ITC claims and tax liabilities.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software such as Tally, SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Good analytical, problem\-solving and drafting skills.
  • Strong communication and client\-handling abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

Candidate Preference \& Selection Criteria

  • We recommend prioritising candidates with a minimum of 1\.5–2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a Chartered Accountancy firm or tax consultancy.
  • Preference should be given to candidates having hands\-on experience in:
  • GST return preparation and filing, including GSTR\-1 and GSTR\-3B.
  • GSTR\-2B and purchase register reconciliation, including ITC eligibility verification.
  • GST notices, scrutiny proceedings and drafting of replies.
  • GST audits, departmental assessments and compliance reviews.
  • Direct client interaction and independent handling of GST assignments.
