Overview
The Instructional Designer will analyze and create content for the learning programs that are required to support
the L\&D function. S/he will work with the subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs to
facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective and appealing manner.
Main Role and Responsibilities
- Use Instructional Design principles and approach to create engaging and effective learning solutions
- Assist in the development and delivery of web\-based and face\-to\-face professional development
programs, and advance effective uses of technology in all modes of instruction.
- State instructional end goals and create content that matches them.
- Create self\-paced (e\-learning) as well as instructor\-led, virtual classroom, and blended learning content
- Independently develop an eLearning solution from requirement gathering to Storyboarding till the
Beta\-phase while adhering to all stages of the Delivery Lifecycle (DLC).
- Implement the edits/modifications as suggested by SMEs/leads.
- Perform self and peer review of learning deliverables.
- Create course storyboards with visualization cues, video scripts, instructor guides, participant guides,
and assessment models.
- Streamline/modify/enhance existing learning solutions.
- Demonstrate analytical and research\-oriented approach towards learning.
- Prepare and test a SCORM file for publishing to the Learning Management System.
- Create course assessments and course evaluations (surveys) with knowledge of good question writing
techniques.
- Collaborate and work closely with various stakeholders, including but not limited to SMEs, developers,
videographers, and offering managers.
- Use SharePoint to create and deploy learning sites for program delivery,
- Experiment with new learning technologies and trends as well as test for applicability to content
creation requirements.
- Develop and program interactive eLearning modules and online courses using authoring tools like
Articulate 360, Rise, Adobe captivate, and iSpring.
- Utilized multimedia tools such as Synthesia, Adobe creative suit to enhance the learning experience
including graphics, video, animation.
Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications
The candidate must possess the following
- Strong English U.S. writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze content, create a storyboard, and provide meaningful visualization cues.
- Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts.
- Ability to build rapport with program managers, project stakeholders.
- A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
The following will be a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, educational technology, or similar
- Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods.
- Ability to curate/build upon SME skills and knowledge and turn it into learning content.
- Years of proven Instructional Designer experience with some project management experience desired .
