Instrument and Control Engineer

• *Qualification:** BE / B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics \& Instrumentation, or Instrumentation \& Control Engineering.

• *Industry Experience:** Petrochemical, Oil \& Gas, Refinery, Power Plant, Solar Power Plant, and Industrial Construction Projects.

Job Summary

The candidate will be responsible for supervising instrumentation installation, execution, testing, inspection, commissioning coordination, and quality control activities for large\-scale industrial projects, ensuring compliance with approved engineering drawings, project specifications, and safety standards.

Key Roles \& Responsibilities

• *1\. Instrumentation Execution \& Site Supervision**

• Supervise installation and execution of field instruments, control valves, transmitters, sensors, and instrumentation systems.
• Monitor instrument cable laying, cable tray installation, termination, and junction box installation.
• Ensure execution activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, vendors, and construction teams.

• *2\. Instrumentation \& Control Systems**

• Knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA, and industrial automation systems.
• Supervise installation and integration of instrumentation and control systems.
• Review P\&IDs, instrument hook\-up drawings, loop diagrams, cable schedules, and instrument datasheets.
• Coordinate instrument calibration, loop checking, and functional testing.

• *3\. Quality Control \& Inspection**

• Inspect instrumentation installation activities as per approved quality standards.
• Verify instrument calibration reports, inspection records, and testing documentation.
• Ensure compliance with project quality requirements and applicable engineering standards.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspection approvals and closure of site observations.

• *4\. Testing \& Commissioning Coordination**

• Support pre\-commissioning and commissioning activities of instrumentation systems.
• Supervise instrument loop checking, signal testing, and control system interface verification.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, piping, and process engineering teams.
• Monitor punch\-list closure and system handover activities.

• *5\. Project Coordination \& Documentation**

• Monitor daily instrumentation execution progress and prepare site progress reports.
• Coordinate with PMC engineers, client representatives, contractors, and vendors.
• Review method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and technical documentation.
• Ensure work completion within approved timelines and project quality requirements.

• *6\. Safety \& Compliance**

• Ensure instrumentation execution activities follow project HSE requirements.
• Monitor safe working practices during installation and testing.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industrial safety standards and permit\-to\-work procedures.

Mandatory Skills \& Experience

• **5 to 8 years of relevant experience in Instrumentation \& Control Engineering.**
• **Experience in Petrochemical / Oil \& Gas / Refinery / Power Plant / Solar Power Plant / Industrial Construction Projects.**
• Strong experience in instrumentation installation, site execution, inspection, testing, and commissioning coordination.
• Knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA, field instruments, control valves, and industrial automation.
• Ability to interpret P\&IDs, loop diagrams, hook\-up drawings, and instrumentation layouts.
• Experience coordinating with EPC contractors, PMC teams, and client representatives.
• Strong knowledge of industrial project quality and safety standards.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with hands\-on experience in large\-scale industrial construction, petrochemical plants, refineries, power plants, or manufacturing plant projects will be preferred.
